First Devlog
Hi all, it's my first entry.
Not exactly sure what to put, but I can mention it's cruising along and getting very, very close to the first mini-prototype demo. I'll post it here and on Steam too. (Game-name is held for the moment, checks need to be finalized).
As per the images, they'll be 7 tracks to try out. (All completed and done.) (Psst, I'm aiming for 50 unique tracks by the end).
The new ones: Farmland with underground crystal caves, crop fields for paddock bashing, mini-mart and fine china shops for drive through silliness. Another, an active volcano with erupting lava sprays (and a HUGE one!) as well as cracking earth that changes the track layout. Just be ready for massive fiery, ashy explosions and choking black soot everywhere. Another is Railway hill where trains barrel through with varying colour, carriages and lengths. There's even a steam train who also churns out thick black smoke obscuring your view. The Katawarra Mine site, Jungle, Default (from the first functional test), and the Amazon warehouse are all ready to go.
Aside, I've got more AI to do for the NPC drivers as well as their logging system. As you can guess from the simple track select screen, getting a suitable win-place to unlock tracks is necessary. A suitable race manager system needs to be worked out for that too. I've pseudo-coded that for now. So once those two things are finished (and some game cover art work is drawn), I can upload the real thing here. ;)
Oh, and all the cars are named now. :P
